Skype (Beta)

HAWHAW is a tool to create universal accessible applications.

Among many other markup languages HAWHAW supports VoiceXML. All HAWHAW applications from HAWHAW V5.0 onwards are prepared for voice access.

There are different ways to access voice applications. One very convenient option to access HAWHAW voice applications is by means of Skype.

HAWHAW, Voxeo and Skype are offering a dedicated SkypeOut service for HAWHAW users. This service allows application developers to perform tests and to deploy the resulting voice application to end users. During the current beta phase this service is offered free-of-charge, i.e. no SkypeOut credits are required for establishing the SkypeOut call. At a later date probably a small service fee has to be paid by end users from their personal SkypeOut account.

The HAWHAW Skype service is triggered from a web page. You must have Skype installed on your machine and Javascript activated in your favorite browser. Please note that it is not possible to dial the service number directly. This is because all HAWHAW applications share the same Skype number and before the call is started, the HAWHAW server must be informed about your application URL in order to redirect the call properly.

Embedding a SkypeOut button into your webpage is easy. You just have to copy the HTML code snippet down below into your page. If you are looking for a cool graphic button, you probably will find something appropriate at the Skype Buttons website.
